It is a simple but-powerful business principal. For the Chace family, it is a legacy that began nearly a century ago. Leonard Chace founded his business in Fall River, Massachusetts to manufacture leather transmission belts and leather loom parts for the era's booming textile mills.
It is the same principle that enabled Leonard S. Chace Jr. to successfully guide the family business through a depression and World War II. It is also the inspiration that, in 1967 led Leonard S. Chace III to recognize that the decline of the textile industry, in the New England area, was here to stay. Wanting to broaden his company's strenghts and capabilities he established a textile belting and supply company in GREENVILLE, SC.
BAMCO Belting Products, Inc. has grown and continues to grow as an industry leader in supplying conveyor and transmission belting to the textile industry as well as many other industries. Another generation has now joined the family business including Leonard S. Chace IV as president. The company's philosophy of "Total Customer Satisfaction" is being carried on into the fourth generation with continued growth through the introduction of new product lines and investment in new companies. In 2001 SIRPCO was purchased to add a broad line of hose, couplings, and fittings to the company’s product mix.
